Josh "Fisch" Fischer, was announced as Wartburg's inaugural head coach for the co-ed esports team in December of 2021 and started in January of 2022. Fischer is a native of Miami, Fla. and graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Northwestern College.
Before arriving at Wartburg, Fischer coached one season of Rocket League at Northwestern College where he led his team to make the playoffs in the NECC. Before coaching, Fischer played both Rocket League and Overwatch at the club level for two years and Rocket League at a varsity level for one more year. Fischer was the team captain his senior year.
