CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- Senior Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) was named the Iowa Conference's women's basketball player of the week, the conference office announced today.

Her accomplishments:

• Sommer led Wartburg scoring (19.0 PPG) and assists (18) while helping Wartburg win the IIAC Tournament Championship for the second-consecutive year.
• In the Knight's 63-46 semifinal win over Loras, Sommer tallied 15-points, seven rebounds, eight assists and one steal
• Sommer recorded a double-double with 23 points, 10 assists, four rebounds, and two steals in Wartburg's 86-74 title clinching win over Luther.
• Knights are making third-straight appearance in NCAA Division III Tournament
• Wartburg set school record in wins this season with 27.
