CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa-- Senior Miranda Murphy (Alleman) was named the Iowa Conference Female Athlete of the Week and top weekly performer for women's basketball, the conference office announced today.

Due to the holidays, this award spanned two weeks of contests.

Her accomplishments:

• Murphy helped lead the Knights to a 4-0 record over the past two weeks.
• She was named MVP at both tournaments Wartburg played in (UC Santa Cruz and Wartburg's annual Holiday Tournament).
• Through the four contests, Murphy led the Knights with 14.5 PPG, 6.8 RPG and .850 FT %.
• In Wartburg's 75-54 victory over University of California, Santa Cruz, Murphy scored 11 points, had seven rebounds, added two assists and two steals.
• Murphy totaled 13-points, seven rebounds and an assist in the Knight's 53-50 win over California Lutheran University.
• In an 83-65 win against UW-Superior, Murphy totaled 14 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal.
• No. 4/11 Wartburg defeated No. 11/17 UW-Whitewater 64-55 for the Holiday Tournament crown.
• Murphy put up 20 points, secured seven rebounds and provided two assists in the win over UW-Whitewater.
• Wartburg is now 11-0 and ranked No. 4/11 (D3hoops.com/WBCA).
• Murphy is now a three-time Women's Basketball and Female Athlete of the Week honoree (1/1/18, 1/8/17, 1/1/17).
