Dickson Named Assistant Softball Coach

WAVERLY, Iowa—Taylor Dickson has been named the assistant softball coach at Wartburg College, head coach Jamie Mueller announced today.

Dickson comes to Wartburg from Ohio Wesleyan where she was a two-sport athlete as she played basketball and softball for the Battling Bishops. She was a three-time All-Conference selection in softball and two-time honoree in basketball. Dickson was a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree and a four-time member of the Dean's List.

In softball her senior season, she hit .355 and co-led the team in doubles (11). In basketball, she was the team's second-leading scorer for the last three seasons and surpassed the 1,000 career point mark her senior year.

"We are excited to welcome Taylor to our coaching staff this year," said Mueller. "I think she will be a great fit for our culture and style of play, and we are looking forward to adding a fresh perspective as we continue to build our program."

Dickson was the head coach of the 18U Ohio Stingrays last summer after serving as the assistant coach for the two prior seasons.

The Baltimore, Ohio, native graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in health and human kinetics this past May.
