WAVERLY, Iowa-- The Wartburg women's basketball team announced their annual team award winners at their end of the season banquet.

Junior Miranda Murphy (Alleman) was named the teammate of the year and freshman Emma Gerdes (Cedar Falls) was tabbed the rookie of the year.

Junior Katie Sommer (Cedar Rapids) was named the MVP.

Classmate Morgan Neuendorf (Shell Rock) was selected as the defensive player of the year and sophomore Kayley Shoen (Trumann, Minn.) earned the hustle award.
