DUBUQUE, Iowa-- The Wartburg football team claimed its 13th Iowa Conference championship with the 59-3 win over Loras. With the win, Wartburg receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

"Our players displayed great determination and composure throughout a very competitive IIAC schedule," said head coach Rick Willis. "The outstanding effort and commitment of our players and assistant coaches allowed our team to earn this championship."

The Knights improved to 8-2 overall and finished conference play 6-1.

This marks the 21st consecutive year that Wartburg has had a winning season, a mark that is tied for seventh among all NCAA schools.
