2007 Dan Huston Cross Country Invitational

Wartburg College's women and Iowa Central Community College's men gained team championships at the 2007 Dan Huston Invitational Saturday, Oct. 6. The Knights, ranked No. 29 in the current United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's Division III top 35, toppled No. 8-ranked UW-Platteville en route to the top spot. Head coach Steve Johnson's team placed five individuals in the top 10, finishing with 24 points. Iowa Central's Lydia Kosgei won the individual title with a 24-minute flat time, while Wartburg's Emily VanOosbree ended second, just four seconds behind.

In the men's race, the Tritons of ICCC posted the top four individual finishes for a 23-point total. Augustana College of Rock Island, Ill., nosed out Wartburg for second by a scant three points (58-61). ICCC's Josh Sawe was the individual champion with a time of 26:44.
