XC - 2009 IIAC Championships meet information

Course Location: Max Championship Cross Country Course

On the NW corner of Wartburg College campus, Waverly, Iowa

Race Schedule: Women’s 6K – 11:00am

Men’s 8k – 12:00pm

Parking: Buses - Drop off will be at the baseball stadium off 5th street on the NW corner of campus. Buses can park in the white maintenance building parking lot back on 12th street just to the west of the wellness center.

Team Van Parking: Right behind the start and finish line. Vans can turn north from 5th Ave. NW onto 20th St. NW and drive ¼ mile. Turn right into the parking area just before the RR tracks.

Spectator Parking: Parents and spectators can park on the east side of the course across 20th st. behind the start and finish line. Turn north from 5th Ave. NW onto 20th St. NW and drive ¼ mile. Turn left into the parking area just before the RR tracks.

Other spectator parking is on the roads or in the parking area off 12th street.

Course Inspection: The course will be open any time on Friday, October 30th and Saturday, October 31st. On Friday, please stay off the football and soccer fields if any of the teams are practicing. Please stay off the fields if there is frost on the ground.

Packet Pick-up: Team packets with numbers, chips, and meet information will be available on Saturday morning at the course.

Restrooms: There are portable restrooms available at the course.

Athletic Training: Wartburg College will provide a certified athletic trainer near the start/finish area. The training staff will provide ice, water, cups and any athletic training needs.

Awards: Team champion, all-conference, MVP’s and Coach of the Year winners will be awarded at 1:00pm.

JV Awards

JV team scores will be announced and the JV traveling trophies presented to the winning teams.

JV All-Conference awards - top 15 JV finishers – only 7 runners from one school are eligible for All Conference JV honors

JV All-Conference runners will be announced but there will be no presentation ceremony. Certificates will be given to the coaches for each JV All-Conference runner.
